Patchology Flashpatch Lip Renewal: Review

9:01:00 PM

I love and hate eye patch masks. They do work and are hydrating, but they're just so expensive. I had been wanting to try these Pathology Flashpatch Lip Renewal iconpatch masks forever, but didn't want to buy the huge box. Nordstrom now allows you to buy 5 patches for $15. Or you can still get 24 patches for $50.

Per Patchology: "Here’s something to make you smile. Lip Renewal FlashPatch® 5 Minute Hydrogels provide deep hydration to soften, smooth and diminish the appearance of vertical lip lines.
More effective than topical lip treatments, they enhance lip shape and volume. Our HydraSurge5™ Moisture System features advanced hydrogel patch technology that sends the most powerful moisturizing ingredients to your lips faster. Niacinamide, Peptides and Green Tea Extract soothe and deliver anti-aging benefits."

Make our Lip Renewal FlashPatch® 5 Minute Hydrogels a daily part of your regular pre-makeup skin care regimen. You can also put them on at night to soothe your lips.
Step 1: Place lip gel onto clean lips for 5 minutes (or longer if desired).
Step 2: Discard after use and massage any remaining serum in and around the lip area.

These come in individually wrapped packages. There's quite a bit of the lip serum in them. They have a shimmery pink glitter in the lip gel itself, not sure why it's not like you're running around showing it off or anything. There's no big scent to these, kind of a minimal clean scent. They do have a bit of an aftertaste. Reminds me of the Fresh Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment aftertaste. They are delicate, I can see them tearing easily if you're not careful.

I always find patch masks slip a bit while wearing and need to be readjusted. This was no different. It was cooling and hydrating. I found it did plump the lines in my lips away. However, it lasted a short time. Within an hour my lips looked like they did before I used the patch. So it works, it just lasts a very short amount of time. Might be good for a date or photo session, but it's expensive and without the effect being long lasting I don't find them worth it or worthy of repurchase.
