Tata Harper Purifying Cleanser: Review

I love Tata Harper Skincare. The Purifying Cleanser I have been using for some time now. Per Tata Harper's website: "This cleanser combats the daily wear and tear of environmental exposure and pollution by effectively clearing pores of excess oil, dead skin, and buildup – while maintaining the skin’s moisture balance. A powerfully purifying cocktail of sugars, Broccoli extract and fruit enzymes thoroughly cleans the skin and refines pore appearance, while an invigorating blend of essential oils helps flush away impurities for a deeply refreshed feel. This soap-free cleanser has a cooling effect on the skin and helps to balance oiliness."
  • Purifying enzymes act as natural exfoliants for a deeper clean
  • Soap-free foaming sugars clean the skin while maintaining hydration
  • Leaves skin feeling cool and refreshed
  • Helps remove excess oil for improved balance and minimizes the appearance of pores
This cleanser has a lovely light citrus scent. It has a slight gray/purple milky color that turns even more milky once mixed with water. The texture is not really a gel, it's thicker than a liquid, yet it feels thin.
When you add water it turns thin like a liquid. This does have a touch of clay in it, so it's in that detoxifying/clarifying cleanser category. Great for summer. It's not drying, but sometimes in the winter when my skin is really dry, it can be a touch too much for everyday. It's not too harsh like some detox cleansers, it won't strip your skin. People with really dry skin might want to sample it first just to make sure.

I like this as a second cleanse or a morning cleanse if used alone. By itself it's not really enough to remove makeup fully. Use Tata Harper's Nourishing Oil Cleanser to remove makeup, then this to second cleanse and to get into the pores. I use it after other oil based cleansers at night as well. It is a really nice detox cleanser, and one of my favorite cleansers overall. It's refreshing and light, yet detoxes and helps with oil in the summer. It comes in a nice frosted green glass bottle with a pump, so great packaging as always with Tata Harper. The retail is $62 for 4.1 fl oz/125 ml.

When mixed with water it turns a bit milky:
