February Samples & Empties Post

-Leonor Greyl Bain Vitalisant B: This was OK. Not drying, very heavily scented like powdery perfume. I was on a big Leonor Greyl kick for a while, then the powerful scents got to me and they were OK in general but nothing worth the price. This didn't dry my hair out and it was light in general.

-Archipelago Coconut Lotion: Love this, I reviewed it here.

-Restorsea Revitalizing Scalp Treatment: I talked about this here. I would go for another large bottle if it wasn't so expensive.

-Dr Jules Anti-Aging Facial Serum: Eh, this came from BeautyDNA. It was runny, smelled slightly musty or odd and didn't do anything that I really noticed. I emailed them too asking what was in their 'herbal infusion' listed in the ingredients, because I was pregnant when I received it, and never heard back.

-Suqqu Moisture Lotion: This was nice, it was moisturizing. Not too heavily scented. It's hard to get in the US and overpriced so I probably wouldn't buy it for that reason.

-Creme de la Mer Moisturizing Cream: I've used this for many years in the past. I used the mini pots for moisturizing my nose when I have a cold etc. It's so great for that to avoid the redness and dry areas. It's way too heavy for my skin in general so I have no other use for it.

-Tata Harper Skincare Regenerating Cleanser: Love it, bought a full size. Creamy cleanser with an awesome smell and the scrub is very fine and easy on all skin types even sensitive.

-Hurraw! Kapha Lip Balm: I love Hurraw! balms in general, more oil than wax like, organic and cheap which is the best part. I didn't like the eucalyptus part of this particular balm, but loved the ginger grapefruit aspect. I talked about them in general here. You can check the line out here.

-Hurraw! Vanilla Orange Lip Balm: This was a freebie from an order I made for Christmas presents. It was like a creamsicle. It was nice with the same nice formula.

-John Masters Organics Lip Calm: This smells like lemon and has a nice moisturizing oil balm feel. It just dries my lips out like crazy. I had to stop using it.

-Armani Eyes to Kill Black Ecstasy Mascara: I love the original Armani Eyes to Kill mascara, this one was OK. It's more clumpy, dense and lengthening than the original. I love simple volume the most so I prefer the original.

-Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara: I hated the first Marc Jacobs mascara, and still have yet to be wowed by anything from their line. I thought a new volume mascara might not be so bad, but it was OK. I wasn't a fan of the brush and it ended up clumpy on me. I'll pass on it.

-Sunday Riley Luna: This has such a cool blue color from the Blue Tansy, don't worry doesn't stain your skin blue. It's a medium oil, not the heaviest I've used nor the lightest. I have so many oils to go through right now and I was already using retinol on my face so I didn't want to use too much retinol by using this as well. I used it on my neck at night. It was nice, my neck had an overall glow to it while using.

-Restorsea Revitalizing Eye Cream: I got this in an Allure subscription box last year, I never would have bought this to try on it's own. It just wasn't on my radar. It was nice as a medium level cream. Not too greasy yet not too thin and it was nicely moisturizing overall. You can only use it under the eye area not on the lid. I used half the jar or so and just didn't really see much difference in my dark circles which is it's main area to treat. I had other things I wanted to dive into so I stopped using it. If I had paid full price I would have used the whole thing.

-Olivina Olive Hand Cream: I got this off of beautyhabit some time ago. I liked it, very moisturizing. A touch greasy and was good for night use. Lasted fairly well.

-Omorovicza Cleansing Foam: This is the only cleansing foam I like, no sulfates so it foams less but it isn't drying. I have a full size but had a few minis to go through too. It's thorough and removes makeup well. I talked about it here

-Murad Hydro-Dynamic Quenching Essence: This was OK. Average hydrating gel serum.

-Chica Refining Essence: This was OK. Average hydrating liquid. I wouldn't buy it as I have seen more interesting things instead.

-Kate Somerville Age Arrest Anti-Wrinkle Serum: Not the first time I've tried this sample. The texture and such is nice, no issues with breakouts. Hard to notice if it did anything since it only lasts a few days usage wise.

-Radical Youth Infusion Serum: Not the first time I've used this serum either. I've used packets and 5ml samples, never noticed much from it other than basic hydration. Looks like it has nice hydrating ingredients and such, just seems a bit overpriced for what it is.

-NUDE Age Defy Anti-Age Serum: I used 7 samples packets of this. Nice hydrating serum. No adverse reactions yet no really wowing effect either.

-Cane+Austin Miracle Pad: I've used multiples of these, they sting a touch. Seem to be an OK acid peel. I'm not a big fan of buying acid peel pads as they seem ridiculously overpriced for what you get.

-Kate Somerville Nourish Daily Moisturizer: This is a nice light hydrating moisturizer. Would be good for sensitive skin. I have others similar I prefer more by Zelens, OSKIA and Tata Harper. But it's nice.

-MV Organic Skincare Rose Soothing Protective Moisturizer: This was way heavier than I thought it would be. Was a pretty thick cream. This was too much for my skin, would be good for dry skin.

-Algenist Repairing Tint & Radiance Light/Medium: I hated this. I tried it once and tossed the rest of the sample. Too thick and mask like. Felt like it was sitting on my skin in a thick putty layer. I can think of many better BB and CC Creams.

-Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation Shade 5: I love the foundation formula in general. #5 was not my shade #6 is. See review here.

-Yes to Cucumbers Soothing Facial Wipes: I got through these time and time again. I used to use them to remove makeup from my face, but now they're just for swatching. They're cheap and not too drying.
