Omorovicza Blue Diamond Skincare Line: Review

3:16:00 AM

I am not a stranger to Omorovicza. Once I discovered my first Omorovicza product I then continued to try almost the full line, I must say I love most items from the brand. My skin loves Omorovicza too. I'm slowly starting to review each item, and their most recent release is their Blue Diamond line. I've talked about the Blue Diamond Peel some here. I'll get fully into the cream and peel now, the Concentrate I'm currently using as my night serum, so once it's gone I'll do a full review on that.

L to R: Super-Cream, Concentrate, Resurfacing Peel:

The Blue Diamond Resurfacing Peel described per Omorovicza's website: "This opalescent peel is simultaneously lightening, brightening and firming. Lactobionic and lactic acids together with powerful AHAs, refine complexion and encourage cell renewal. Kerotolytic  enzymes brighten tone and copper gluconate purifies the skin and regulates the production of sebum to avoid shine." This retails for $195 for a 1.7 fl oz blue frosted glass jar. This is a pricey, luxury face peel.

This peel has a unique texture. It's a thick balm feeling peel that you massage on for 2-3 minutes then rinse off. It has a light blue/clear color with faint shimmer that turns more white and opaque as you rub it on your skin. It uses lactic acid for the exfoliation and it's a medium strength peel. Meaning it's not the heaviest duty glycolic acid peel you'll get, nor is it the lightest type of exfoliating peel either. I can feel the tingle from it. It does resurface the skin, but does it gently. There is a very moisturizing quality to it, it won't dry your skin out. I've never found it too irritating either. The scent is light like all Omorovicza products and not bothersome.

It is very similar to my much loved OSKIA Renaissance Mask. The link above is where I compared the two. Very similar texture and effect. However, OSKIA is 1/3 of the price. The OSKIA does need to be left on for 20 minutes so I do appreciate the quickness of the Omorovicza Peel. I also get the tingle more from the Omorovicza Resurfacing Peel than OSKIA's so it feels stronger. Whichever peel you pick between the two the texture is amazing and it's my favorite go to peel for exfoliation that's not a scrub. Check it out here.

The Key Benefits:

  • Diamond Peptides: Sirtuin-like peptides are grafted to multifaceted diamonds and transported to skin cells. Acting on a timed release, this innovative peptide compound promotes DNA repair while combating the effects of cellular stress and prolongs the healthy life of skin cells.
  • Arabinogalactans: This Nasturtium-derivered polysaccharide accelerates the oxygenation of the skin and protects against hypoxic stress. It also re-energizes fibroblasts to brighten tone and smooth the complexion.
  • Essential Amino Acid and Copper Compound: A combination of copper, essential amino acids and an anti-glycation phosphate promotes the synthesis of collagen and elastin. An advanced and patented delivery system ensures these ingredients are used by the cell in their intended combination for renewed firmness and elasticity.
  • Lactobionic Acid provides a mild exfoliation to brighten complexion and stimulate cellular turnover without irritation.
  • Tropical Fruit Acids plump the skin while reinforcing the skin barrier to improve firmness and tone.
  • Keratolytic Enzymes provide an enzymatic exfoliation that is ideal for sensitive skin, as it uses protease and subtilisin enzymes to eliminate dead skin cells without the use of physical exfoliators.

  • The main ingredients: Glycerin, Water, Lactobionic Acid, Olive Oil Derivatives, Lactic Acid, Sodium Lactate, Mango Pulp Extract, Spondias Mombin Pulp Extract, Banana Pulp Extract, Copper Gluconate, Fragrance, Shea Butter, Mica, Hungarian Thermal Water Ferment Extract, Hungarian Thermal Water, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Protease(Enzyme), Subtilisin(Enzyme), Phospholipids, Acetyl Pentapeptide, Diamond.

    Blue Diamond Resurfacing Peel Texture:

The Blue Diamond Concentrate described per Omorovicza's website: "The Blue Diamond Concentrate restores the luminous vibrancy of young skin. An innovative form of hyaluronic acid provides an instant lift, and watercress polysaccharides, known as arabino-galactans, accelerate the transfer of oxygen from cell to cell for more energetic fibroblasts and greater radiance." This retails for $410 for a 1.02 fl oz blue frosted glass dropper style bottle. This is a pricey, luxury face serum.

I'm currently using this as my night serum. I tested it here or there when I first got it but didn't use it regularly. I used it when I wanted a hydrating serum. I want to test more of it's anti-aging benefits which means I need to use it on a regular consistent basis. So after that test and I finish the bottle I'll do a full review of what I think of it. This has a light scent, thicker fluid texture. From having used it here or there, it's a hydrating style serum. It has a liquid texture with an ever so slight light blue/clear color. The scent is very light and non offensive like all Omorovicza stuff.

While the bottle is a heavy frosty blue glass with a nice dropper and it looks luxury, I hate the dropper bottle. It exposes the ingredients to air every day when I open it, which can cause degradation of those expensive ingredients. With a serum this pricey I would much prefer an airless pump or the same glass bottle with pumps they use for their regular serums. Check it out here.

    Blue Diamond Concentrate Texture:

The Blue Diamond Super Cream is described per Omoroviza's website: "This deeply hydrating Blue Diamond Super Cream prolongs the healthy life of skin cells and repairs the DNA chain, while increasing the production of collagen and elastin for greater elasticity and firmness." This comes in a blue frosted glass jar and retails for $390 for 1.7 fl oz. It is a pricey, luxury face cream.

I find it to be really moisturizing and soothing without being too heavy or greasy. The Blue Diamond Super-Cream compared to the other Omorovicza jar moisturizers: The Gold Rescue Cream is heavier, more moisturizing, and slightly greasier(takes longer to absorb); The Rejuvenating Night Cream feels greasier, and is less moisturizing; The Intensive Hydra-Lifting Cream is the lightest and least greasy of all the jar creams, and it's less moisturizing. It has a very faint scent, nothing really bothersome. If you've smelled one Omorovicza cream or lotion they all smell similar. It's slight floral, earthy and fresh scent but very light. No perfume or heavy essential oil smells.

The texture is thinner for a cream but it's really moisture packed. It's a bit greasy after application but absorbs fully in about 10 minutes or so. I got no irritation or breakouts from it. It is best used at night, but there was a time around December/January this last year in Montana where it was so bitter cold and dry and this was the best at soothing my skin day and night. This would not be for oily skin, and combination it will just depend where you live.

This cream feels amazing, it's so moisturizing and soothing, I see great plumping results from it. I'm still not sold on whether or not diamond peptides are worth the hefty price tag it has. When I'm done with the serum I'll weigh in on that more. I do feel serums give better results with anti aging ingredients like this because they're usually more concentrated in the product. I tend to want to put my money more in serums than creams, but I love Omorovicza so much I had to try all the creams at some point to see. I do like this cream better than the Gold Rescue Cream, which broke me out, and the Rejuvenating Night Cream, which is too greasy and the moisture is similar to Intensive Hydra-Lifting which I prefer. Of all Omorovicza's jar creams the Intensive Hydralifting Cream is my favorite lighter cream, this is my favorite deep hydrating cream.
