Tata Harper Iridescent Revitalizing Body Oil: Review & Swatches

For summertime shimmery, bronzey body oils are great. This year Tata Harper came out with a shimmery bronze version of her Revitalizing Body Oil, which is my favorite body oil. I talked about it some here. In addition to the shimmery bronze color added it's scented like her Love Potion aromatherapy oil. This is a limited edition and retails for $95 for a 125ml bottle, a regular bottle of the same size oil is $90.

Tata's Love Potion is "an aromatic blend of ten of the world’s most potent aphrodisiac essential oils to stimulate the senses, heighten sensuality and immediately inspire an inner sense of beauty and confidence. This aromatherapy for love helps focus the energy of your body and mind on feelings of love and warmth while accentuating overall attractiveness."

Main Ingredients: Sunflower Seed Oil, Grape Seed Oil, Olive Oil, Aroma(Clinical grade essential oils blend), Mica, Sambucus Nigra Fruit Extract, Borage Leaf Extract, Arnica Extract, Alfalfa Extract, Calendula Flower Extract.

The oil separates and you have to shake it up before use. This has a flip top and clear glass bottle versus the normal pump with a green glass bottle. I actually much prefer the green glass pump over this version. Not sure if they changed it so you could see the color better or if shaking it up might make it leak out of the pump possibly. The flip top doesn't allow a large pour of the oil, you can actually shake a little bit out at a time, so that's nice at least it doesn't pour out fast and spill all over.

The color is a golden bronze, it's a lighter not a dark or more brown bronze. It's actually pretty pigmented.

Rubbed into hand:

I also tested it rubbed onto my arm, it leaves a deeper bronze color in addition to the shimmer. I cleaned the four edges with a makeup remover wipe and you can see my natural skintone versus the bronze color it leaves:

Overall, I like it. It's a nice summer product. It's got great ingredients. I am a fan of the way the regular Revitalizing Body Oil smells, which is more musty and deep. More earthy I guess. The Love Potion scent can be a bit overwhelming some times, it's sweet. I prefer the original Revitalizing Body Oil between the two. I'm sure this rubs off onto light clothing so I would suggest using on legs or with appropriate colored clothing. This is limited edition.

The Love Potion 10 oils: Davana promotes positive energy, Jasmine awakens sexuality, reduces anxious energy, Orange Peel supports attractive, alluring energy, Ylang Ylang boosts inner confidence, reduces nervousness, Sandalwood stimulates the senses and boosts arousal, Violet Leaf promotes inner peace and positivity, Rose boosts arousal and affection, Frankincense awakens sexuality, reduces anxious energy, Grapefruit boosts confidence, energizes mind and body, Cedarwood Atlas combats negativity, inspires feelings of affection.
