Omorovicza Body Buffing Balm: Review

I decided to try the Omorovicza Body Buffing Balm on a whim a few months ago while trying new body scrubs. Per Omorovicza's website: "With orange blossom oil, moor mud and sea salt, this exfoliating black body balm gently removes dead skin cells and refines the texture of the skin, leaving it radiant and soft." This is a 6.8 fl oz tub that retails for $75. It's for every skin type except sensitive.

The key benefits are: "Cleanse deeply, detoxify and nourish the skin with Hungarian Moor mud rich in calcium and magnesium carbonates. Eliminate dead skin cells and encourage cell regeneration with dead sea salt. Promote a healthy glow by stimulating micro-circulation with capsicum peptide (white pepper extract). It is also very rich in vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant. Restore suppleness, elasticity and tone with plum almond oil. Leave skin firmer, more supple and younger-looking as Hydro Mineral Transference™ delivers minerals deep into the skin."

This is a salt body scrub. The texture is a thicker black mud base that melts into the skin when applied on wet skin in the shower. The salt granules are small and not bothersome for being too rough. The scent is an earthy slight orange scent that's not overpowering at all. It's not oily like some scrubs, it feels almost thick gel/mud like with granules.

It melts into the skin in the shower and leaves it silky soft. It's not a strong exfoliant meaning the granules aren't harsh so you won't get a super hard scrub down. It does sting my legs from the salt and white pepper extract, I use this after I shave to keep the benefits from it on my legs and not shave it off. I think that issue will depend how you use the body scrub, before or after shaving. I would love this with sugar instead, it's my personal preference for that reason. While this is a nice body scrub, it's expensive and I can't justify buying it on a regular basis for that reason.

The main ingredients: Sea Salt, Glycerin, Hungarian Mud, Coconut oil fatty acids, Olive oil derivatives, Apricot Kernel Oil, Plum Seed Extract, Squalane, Saccharomyces(yeast)/Capsicum Annum Fruit(chili) Ferment Filtrate, Fragrance, Cherry Fruit Extract, Tocopherol(vitamin E), Hungarian Thermal Water Ferment Extract, Mannitol(sugar alcohol), Hungarian Thermal Water, Phospholipids, Yeast Extract.
