Charlotte Tilbury X Norman Parkinson Colour of Youth Lip & Cheek Glow: Review & Swatches

The next item I have to talk about in the Charlotte Tilbury X Norman Parkinson limited collection is the Colour of Youth Lip & Cheek Glow. This is a duo cream product for lip and cheeks in a plastic rose gold metallic case with a photo of Norman Parkinson's wife under a glossy cover on the top.

Per Charlotte's website: "Capture the youthful, soft-focus light of Parkinson’s lens, encased in the dreamy glamor of vintage Hollywood. It emulates the delicate, rosy hue you see in young, innocent and fresh cheeks, but that can be lost with age. With this blusher, you can now paint the youth back in. It looks best when it is expressed through a tint of a tan. This pretty pink hue for lips and cheeks works with all skin tones. Berry Flux Vita increases Hyaluronic Acid to moisturize the skin, protecting the epidermis from dehydration. Microfine pigment technology ensures high color performance and a long-lasting finish. It’s creamy, bendable, weightless, hydrating glamor on the go."

The color is a light creamy yellow coral pink, but it changes in the light some. Inside it looks like a light creamy yellow pink with a hint of coral, swatched and on the lips the coral pops out more. Outside in the sunlight the coral and pink look brighter and more intense, and you can see the tiniest hint of shimmer though on the shimmer does not show up on the lips or cheeks at all.

This is creamy and emollient, it's fairly pigmented and can sheer out well. I had no issues with streakiness on the cheeks, it blends in easily and well. The Hakuhodo J210 was the best brush I used to apply it with on the cheeks, the color was more even and it was quicker and less work than using my fingers. This is able to be quite pigmented with a brush so be careful you don't put too much on the first pass, as I did the first time.

It is creamy enough to be comfortable on the lips all day so that was a plus, yet that also made it creamy on the cheeks all day as well too. It does not dry down on the cheeks. However, I was impressed that while worn on the Fourth of July, in really hot and humid Houston, it stayed on 6 hours no issues and I was sweaty. I have more trouble with it coming off if I touch my cheeks and rub it off.

This has a great vanilla scent and retails for $58 for a 2.5g compact. I will say this is a tiny compact and while it's a nice product, it's really overpriced at $58. Maybe $35 would be worth it, unless the compact was bigger with more product.

Compared to the Charlotte Tilbury Film Stars on the Go lip and cheek product this is thinner and easier to work with, this was an improvement on that formula. This is more tacky than the Tom Ford Pink Sand cream blush. The Tata Harper lip and cheek tints I have are a touch more oily feeling and thinner.
