Charlotte Tilbury X Norman Parkinson Matte Revolution Lipsticks: 1975 Red, Miss Kensington: Swatches

The Charlotte Tilbury X Norman Parkinson collection just came out, and in it are two new Matte Revolution lipsticks. I have already talked about the formula here. It's one of my favorite lipstick formulas. The two shades are Miss Kensington on the left, and 1975 Red on the right.

Top 1975 Red, Bottom Miss Kensington:

Sunlight:

Miss Kensington is described as a "dreamy rose petal shade" and "English-rose pink". It's a neutral light pink cream. It's not cool, yet not really warm either. It's darker than Penelope Pink, and more pink. Very Victoria is darker, more brown and much cooler. Confession is warmer, darker, and has more rose. I don't have Bitch Perfect anymore, but that seems like it might have been the closest shade, except Miss Kensington would be lighter. This shade swatches a touch darker than it looks on the lips. On the lips it is similar to my natural lip shade, but pulls a bit lighter due to it's creamy opacity, it's it also slightly pinker. It has a touch of shimmer in it, but looks only like a cream on the lips. Overall, it comes off as a light, creamy, opaque pink. I would say it's a neutral rose petal shade.

1975 Red is described as a "classic '70s sunset red". It's a bright orange red cream. I don't have any orange reds currently as I usually do darker more true or blue reds. 1975 Red is lighter, brighter and more orange than Red Carpet Red and MAC Russian Red which are both darker and cooler. I believe these two shades are limited edition. They retail for $32 each.
