Omorovicza Soothing Shave Review

10:14:00 PM

Since it's been so cloudy, dreary and rainy here since Sunday, I haven't been able to get any new product photos done as they all turn out too dark and off. So I'm pulling out the last of my Montana photos I took before I left. So I'll work on these reviews and swatches until I get some sunshine here!

When I found out my beloved Billy Jealousy Hydroplane Shave Cream had an ingredient that had been associated with cancer, I gave it up and started the search for a new shave cream. I love the texture of the Hydroplane, it doesn't have that rubbery soapy feel after it's washed off which I hate. I tried a Paula's Choice one, it was OK but had the same rubbery feel. I thought I would try Omorovicza next. Omorovicza Soothing Shave is $30 for 5.1 fl oz. It's a pricey shave cream.

The main ingredients are Hungarian thermal water, squalane, coconut triglycerides, apricot kernel oil, Hungarian thermal water ferment extract,  mango pulp extract, plum seed extract, yellow mombin pulp extract, a droll fruit extract, banana pulp extract, vitamin E, apple fruit extract, orange flower water, sea mayweed extract, algae/white lupin ferment, pectin, phospholipids and yeast extract. It also has camphor and menthol so it has a slight cooling sensation.

That's a lot of good ingredients for a shave cream. I suppose it would be better at that price point if you used it on your face, not your legs like I did. It's a medium weight cream that doesn't foam in the shower, it waters down well, but doesn't foam. It does leave a slight rubbery feel after washing off which is minor, but that in combination with the price I wouldn't buy again but it was worth trying. The search for a new shave cream continues...
